After a two-hour ride on a local open-window bus from Kathmandu, I found myself in the serene embrace of Nagarkot, a place that promises to melt your worries into a blissful symphony of tranquility. If you’re searching for peace of mind while traveling through Nepal, I can’t recommend this spot enough. The landscape here invites you to breathe deeply and let go, making it the perfect backdrop for any travel photographer.

I came to Nagarkot eager to capture the majestic Himalayan mountains, but unfortunately, I arrived just as the sun began to dip below the horizon. The next morning greeted me with a hazy sky, obscuring my chances of that perfect shot. However, I did manage to catch a glimpse of the Himalayas during a flight tour, as well as from the Sichuan side. Though the weather didn’t cooperate for my nature trail plans, the beauty of Nagarkot remained undeniable, and I’m excited to share more about my journey here.
