Fushimi Inari
Through the Torii Gates.
Join me on a photography adventure at Fushimi Inari Shrine (Fushimi Inari Taisha) in southern Kyoto, Japan, where the weather was just perfect for exploring. With my Nikon DSLR camera set to manual, I was ready to capture the beauty of this iconic Shinto shrine, famous for its thousands of vibrant vermilion torii gates that wind through scenic trails on sacred Mount Inari. As I wandered, I marveled at the numerous fox statues, known as Inari's messengers, that adorned the grounds, each adding a touch of mystique to this enchanting place.
The hike to the mountain's summit took about 2-3 hours, but it was a journey filled with smaller shrines and charming restaurants that beckoned me to pause and enjoy the moment. Best of all, the shrine is free to enter and easily accessible from JR Inari Station, making it a must-visit for any traveler. Dive into my photos and immerse yourself in this cultural experience, where every shot tells a story of tradition, beauty, and the vibrant spirit of autumn in Japan!
