It felt like stepping inside a history book, surrounded by enchanting landscapes I had only seen in my school textbooks. With my Nikon DSLR camera set to manual, I was ready to capture the stunning beauty of this remarkable site, a living cultural heritage that dates back nearly two millennia in the pre-colonial Philippines. Nestled in the remote areas of the Philippine Cordillera mountain range, these terraces stand as a true testament to the ingenuity of the local communities.

My journey to the mountain top was an adventure in itself, riding on the rooftop of a jeepney and soaking in the stunning views along the way. Once I arrived, I spent a few days immersing myself in local life, experiencing the rich culture and traditions of the people who call this place home.
