Let me take you on a little adventure to Baler, Aurora, a hidden gem in the Philippines that’s become my go-to spot for travel photography and some much-needed chill time. While surfing is the main draw here—especially at the famous Sabang Beach—there's so much more to discover. Just a stone's throw away lies Dicasalarin Cove, a tranquil paradise where you can escape the hustle and bustle. The trek up the hill offers stunning views, and as you descend into the cove, you're greeted by lush greenery that feels like a scene from a movie. It’s the perfect day trip destination for my family, where we can unwind and reconnect with nature.

During our stay, we opted for a cozy transient house, which allowed us to cook and grill our own seafood delights. There’s something special about spending time together in the kitchen, grilling fresh catch while sharing laughter and stories. We enjoyed a feast that could feed an army, from grilled squid to sinigang na tanigue—every dish was a delightful surprise, even if we couldn't finish it all! Just a heads-up, those tour boats can bring a bit of litter along with them, but the beauty of the place more than makes up for it. So whether you're catching waves or capturing the serene landscape through your lens, Baler is a slice of paradise that will keep you coming back for more!
