Kathmandu
Nepalese Nostalgia.
Stepping off the plane in Kathmandu after a five-and-a-half-hour flight from Kuala Lumpur felt like diving headfirst into a vibrant painting. The chaotic traffic greeted me like an old friend, buzzing with life and energy. As I wandered through the streets, I was captivated by the stunning architecture that whispers tales of the Malla kingdom, and the serene presence of Pashupatinath Temple. The unique temples dotted around the city, each with its own story, showcased a beautiful blend of Hindu and Buddhist cultures living in harmony.
But it wasn't just the architecture that drew me in; it was the scenery too. From the lush greens of Chitwan National Park to the bustling rooftop restaurants where I savored mouthwatering Nepali dishes, every moment felt like a feast for the senses. With budget-friendly hotels lining the streets, Kathmandu is a haven for wanderers looking to soak in both culture and nature. This city is a treasure chest waiting to be explored, and I can’t wait to share more of my journey with you!
